InFocus Appoints Revolution Technologies as Exclusive Distributor of Award-winning Product line for Australia and New Zealand

InFocus Corporation, the industry pioneer in digital projection technology, today announced that after the completion of an extensive search and evaluation, it has appointed Revolution Technologies as exclusive distributor of its award-winning line of business and home entertainment projectors for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Brisbane, Revolution Technologies is the leading trade-only distributor specializing in AV, IT and consumer electronics technology products. Founded in 1989, Revolution Technologies has since successfully acquired distribution rights for several high profile brands with core focus on offering the latest technologies, as well as an extensive range of audio-visual furniture and complementary accessories.

“With Revolution Technologies onboard distributing and supporting the InFocus brand, we will be able to reach a larger audience for our specialized and differentiated product range, which includes the recently released commercial flag ship IN5500 installation series, and home entertainment with the recently launched premium model SP8602 from ScreenPlay series of projectors,” said InFocus Vice President – International Sales, Jeremy Farren, on the newly formed strategic partnership.

Velodyne’s CHTQ12 wins Subwoofer of the Year!

Sound + Image Magazine hosted their annual Awards Night on October 29, 2009 at Sydney’s Darling Harbour. Representing Revolution Technologies at the awards night was Gaby Haddad, Technical Sales Executive for NSW & ACT.

Revolution Technologies was awarded the ‘Subwoofer of the Year Over $1000′ for Velodyne’s CHTQ12 subwoofer. Gaby was absolutely delighted to be presented with the award by Jez Ford, Editor for Sound + Image.

Judges Comments: “Velodyne’s CHT-12Q is one of the smallest, lowest-cost subwoofers to have ‘smart’ circuitry that measures your room and then adapts the frequency response of the subwoofer for the best performance in that environment. Add a high-power amplifier and a large driver and you have a fail-safe recipe for clean, deep and accurate bass.”
